Synopsis

Terry is a super smart, funny fourteen-year-old.
His world is school, home, the old folk’s home he works at part time with his Mum and a suburb best described as somewhere out west, industrial and bleak looking – businesses gone bust, car yards vacated, factories closed. In this beige, urban, gritty environment Terry is a beacon. He’s a modern-day Pollyanna, with a dry wit and a love of camp amid a depleted suburb and an adversary known as high school.
